Madison
during the summer allows for great outddoor activities for little to no
cost. Biking around Lake Monona, the Capitol, and city is a popular
summer activity in Madison due to the extensive amount of bike trails and the very successful B-cycleprogram where you can rent a bike for the hour or the entire day.
For outdoor live music and a fanastic view of the lake, step right outside the conference site doors to the Memorial Union Terrace which is a favorite summer venue of both native Madisonians and all guests to Madison.
America's premier architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, considered
the town of Spring Green, Wisconsin his home. He designed his house
called Taliesin 1911, with the goal that the structure was, "...not on
the land, but of the land." Tours are available and Spring Green is
less than an hour's drive away.
