Singapore has an excellent public transport system that will get you to most places without much hassle. Most of Singapore’s key attractions are within walking distance from an MRT station. You can buy single trips tickets (from ticketing machines) or buy a card with stored value at any MRT station counter. Stored value or EZ-Link card can be used on bus, trains and in many shops to by things.
If you intend to use the MRT and basic bus services a lot during your visit, you can buy a Singapore Tourist Pass which will allow you unlimited travel for one day (S$10), two days (S$16) or three days (S$20). The cards are available at the TransitLink Ticket Office at the following MRT stations: Changi Airport, Orchard, Chinatown, City Hall, Raffles Place, Ang Mo Kio, HarbourFront, Bugis, Lavender and Bayfront. Singapore’s trains and stations are wheelchair friendly and accessible to the visually impaired.
